You can register with the WYSL Risk Management Program at http://wyslsoccer.org/RiskManagement/index_E.html. If you pass the background check, you will show up in the league database as cleared. If there is a problem with your background check, the Eastern NY Youth Soccer Association will contact you via email with directions on how to proceed.
The WYSL 2 hour orientation course is given several times. It is best to take it in the summer or early fall, because the course provides new coaches with a lot of useful information. You can register at http://www.wyslsoccer.org/home/194271.html.
The WYSL 4 hour coaching course is offered before the spring season. If you have a USSF F coaching license or the equivalent such as AYSO U12 certification, then you can apply for a waiver. You will need to give the WYSL a copy of the license. http://www.wyslsoccer.org/home/194271.html
